Community – HAVIN Insight Expo

The 2024 HAVIN Insight Expo will be held at the University of Houston College of Optometry, Health 1 Building  on the University of Houston Central Campus. This year’s theme, “Knowledge, Empowerment, and You…You are the KEY!”, is tailored for the blind and visually impaired community. The 2024 HAVIN Insight Expo will be a half-day event with workshops, featured speakers, panel discussions, information and resources for the blind and visually impaired.

The Insight Expo will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Health and Biomedical Sciences building on the University of Houston main campus. The event will feature a variety of presentations, workshops, and exhibits, as well as a keynote address by Moaz Khan, the president and founder of Vision Without Barriers. In addition, there will be a variety of door prizes, and giveaways, a light breakfast, as well as a box lunch.

Registration is $11 per person and includes lunch.

If you aren’t in the Houston area or simply unable to attend in-person, don’t despair…we are also going to have our inaugural hybrid Insight Expo on the Zoom platform.

HAVIN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of various volunteer groups from across Houston that serve the information, resource, and support needs of the blind and visually impaired. Our vision is to educate, provide peer support and unify the blind and visually impaired community in the Greater Houston area.
