DESCRIPTION:This group covers various mental health topics adapted to those with vision loss. We also provide a network of support for people who otherwise would feel isolated and alone. We discuss the grief process of adjustment to blindness\, and group members offer tips\, encouragement and resources from their own experiences to those who are newly blind. We also cover topics such as\, depression\, anxiety\, anger\, communication\, self-care and more. Questions and comments are always encouraged. It is a wonderful “first step” for a person who has lost his/her vision.
