Join us and enjoy artistic growth and inspiration\, where students can discover their potential and express themselves through the art of dance and performance. \nThe Lighthouse of Houston is excited to announce our Youth Specialty Camps for children and teens who are blind or low vision. These are a series of specialty mini-camps. Don’t miss this chance to empower your child through skill-building\, creativity\, and connection. \nWhat: A series of themed mini-camps \nWhen: Monday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday from 9:30am-12:30pm. \nWhere: The Lighthouse of Houston. 3602 W. DESCRIPTION:Get ready for a summer full of learning\, creativity\, and fun! Our Accessible Gaming Week\, scheduled from June 22nd to the 24th\, gives teens hands-on experience with accessible games. There will also be a presentation from the Texas Workforce Commission. Join us in immersive program designed to foster growth\, have fun\, and provide a solid foundation for gaming. \nThe Lighthouse of Houston is excited to announce our Youth Specialty Camps for children and teens who are blind or low vision. These are a series of specialty mini-camps. Don’t miss this chance to empower your child through skill-building\, creativity\, and connection. \nWhat: A series of themed mini-camps \nWhen: Monday\, Tuesday\, Wednesday from 9:30am-12:30pm. \nWhere: The Lighthouse of Houston. 3602 W. This free\, hands-on monthly class invites youth ages 5–22 who are blind or low vision—and their families—to build essential kitchen skills in a welcoming\, confidence-building space. \nLed by our O&M/ADL Specialist\, Ruby Cabral\, each session blends practical instruction with real-world techniques\, empowering participants to move safely\, independently\, and creatively in the kitchen. Together\, families will prepare simple\, delicious recipes while strengthening skills that extend far beyond the stove. \nClasses take place in the Lighthouse kitchen\, located next to The Lighthouse at 820 Marston Street. \nAll tools and ingredients are provided. No experience required—just curiosity\, connection\, and an appetite to learn. \nThis June\, we’ll be cooking Louisiana Beignets! \nRegistration is required. This free\, hands-on monthly class invites youth ages 5–22 who are blind or low vision—and their families—to build essential kitchen skills in a welcoming\, confidence-building space. \nLed by our O&M/ADL Specialist\, Ruby Cabral\, each session blends practical instruction with real-world techniques\, empowering participants to move safely\, independently\, and creatively in the kitchen. Together\, families will prepare simple\, delicious recipes while strengthening skills that extend far beyond the stove. \nClasses take place in the Lighthouse kitchen\, located next to The Lighthouse at 820 Marston Street. \nAll tools and ingredients are provided. No experience required—just curiosity\, connection\, and an appetite to learn. \nThis July\, we’ll be cooking: Burgers! \nRegistration is required.
